Jeffrey E. Gyovai, age 57, of Oswego, Illinois, passed away at his home on July 22, 2014. Jeff, son of Ernest and Joyce Gyovai, was born on October 23, 1956, in Aurora, Illinois.

Jeff attended St. Paul Lutheran Grade School, Simmons Junior High, and East Aurora High School, graduating in 1974. Being very proud to be an East Aurora graduate, Jeff was looking forward to his 40th Class Reunion this coming weekend and seeing his former classmates. For his occupation, Jeff worked as a call center communications representative, winning several awards for his outstanding work. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and enjoyed serving as an usher. Jeff had a big, giving heart and was very much loved by his family, classmates and friends. He was kind and accepting of all, and he touched many lives in a very special way.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Joyce Gyovai, and his aunt, Bobby Gyovai. He also leaves behind family members, classmates and friends who will miss him very much.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Gyovai.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 85 S. Constitution Drive, Aurora, Illinois 60506, followed by interment at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will precede the funeral service at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Hill, Judy Caryl Was called home to be with the Lord January 12, 2012.
Judy was born November 27, 1956 to Count V. and Ernestine Evans Hill in Blytheville, AR.
As a child she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Main Baptist Church of Aurora, IL. under the leadership of the late Reverend Robert E. Morgan. She participated in many youth activities of the church including the youth choir and BYPU. She began preparing herself for life and community service by attending Washington Elementary in the Caruthersville Missouri Public School System and Beaupre and Oak Park in the East Aurora School District 131. Judy continued her education at Simmons Junior High and graduated from East Aurora High School in the 1974 graduating class.
After High School Judy went on to study and receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Illinois University’s College of Fine Arts. Judy’s academic achievements were recognized as she attained a position the Dean’s List when she graduated in the summer of 1980. After college, Judy had brief career in film and stage performance prior to pursing a career in Education. Judy taught at K.D. Waldo and Henry Cowherd Middle Schools of the Aurora Public School System. She retired from teaching in 2001 after thirteen years due to ill health. While teaching, she also continued to pursue her Masters Degree in Education until her health failed. Judy was an inspiration to her students as a teacher and she continued to inspire them following her retirement.
Judy was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Judy leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory: her father, Count V. Hill; her brother, Lloyd L. Hill (Diana); her sister, Evangelist Mary Jane Bethea of Benton Harbor, MI; nephews, Brandon Hill, Aurora, Brian Hill, Chicago; Ellis Bethea III, of Benton Harbor, MI; nieces, Kayla HIll, Michella (Minister Shamontay) Jones of Berrian Springs, MI., and Demetria (Elder Harry) Simpson III of South Bend, IN., and many grandnieces and nephews, cousin, and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, January 20, 2012 at James from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Main Baptist Church 10AM Viewing/11AM Service. Interment in Lincoln Memorial Park. James Funeral Service is serving the family. 630-851-6503.
