East Aurora Band Celebrates 100 years October 21st 2016.  ALL Band alumni are invited to participate.  The following are the details I received via email from the band director.

Hello EA Band Alumni,
We are excited to have you join the band for our final football game of the season. Thank you for signing up and offering your talents to play with us. This email is to give you details about the event so that we are all on the same page. If at any time you have any questions please email me. We will start with the schedule of the day.

What should you wear?

Please feel free to wear anything East High or Red and Black, but we also have for you the opportunity to purchase a 100 Year Shirt the day of the event. They are $15 and all of the money goes to supporting the band. We would love for you to buy one, but that is not a requirement for attending. Sorry for the double email, but thank you again for joining us.

Friday, October 21st
4:00pm – Rehearsal at EAHS Auditorium
4:45pm – Dinner in the cafeteria
5:45pm – Dismissal time to get to Aurora Christian
6:45pm – Meet current EAHS Band Students at Aurora Christian
7:00pm – Line up on the track to take the field
7:15pm – Pre-Game Performance Begins (Hey Baby, National Anthem, Wave the Flag)
7:35pm – Dismissal to leave or come back to the band section and cheer on the football team

When you arrive at East High, you will need to park in the gravel parking lot, where the stadium used to be. You will then walk the path up to door 1 where you will be able to enter the building and go into the auditorium for rehearsal.

We will be having a dinner for all current band students and alumni in the cafeteria at 4:45. When dinner is over all alumni are then free to leave to get to Aurora Christian High School on their own. We cannot provide transportation there. The current band students will meet you there around 6:45. At that point we will all go to the field, and line up on the track to enter for the pre-game show.

We will be playing Hey! Baby, the National Antherm and Wave the Flag. You can get a copy of all three of these tunes by following the link below and printing off your own copy. We will have copies for you the day of if you are unable to print your own.

Once the pre-game is over you are free to sit up with the band in the stands and continue to play with us (reading music off of one of the current students) or just hang out and watch the game. We would love for you to stick around to see our halftime show.

If you have any other alumni friends that you think would be interested, we would love for you to spread the word. We do need to get a final count so we can plan dinner, so the sooner the better. Direct them to www.d131music.org so they can register via the google document.

Thank you very much for signing up for this event. If you are a percussionist, Joe Kulick will be emailing you about what you would like to play this day. If you are a wind player without an instrument, I will be sending a seperate email to try and figure out if we have something here that you play.
